Central New York

Surrounded by lakes and streams, the vacationing or visiting angler has many fishing opportunities within short driving distance of the city of Syracuse, the Heart of Central New York.

With 50, 000 acres of water Oneida Lake is King. Excellent walleye, bass, and panfishing can be found on Oneida Lake all year. The Seneca River system, Onondaga Lake, Otisco Lake, and a few other small nearby lakes offer angling options for bass, northern pike, walleye, and tiger muskies. Anglers visiting Syracuse can join me for a few hours of convenient morning or evening fishing.

Central New York’s local trout streams have excellent fishing for ultra-light spin fishers and fly fishers alike. An aggressive stocking program augments healthy fisheries in many streams, while other creeks harbor native populations of brown and brook trout.
